One of my girls has had these weird feathers for a couple weeks. She is only 9 months old so she has not had a full molt yet.

Her behavior, energy level, and egg laying has all been pretty normal, so I feel like I shouldn’t be worried, but didn’t know if it’s an early sign of something else. I also noticed her butt fluff looks extra puffy today so I wasn’t sure if that was something to be concerned about. This is my first flock, so I’m very new to all this.

Thoughts or advice?
Thank you in advance!!

Huh, I've never seen that before. It's like she has bum floof feathers on her back.
Maybe she has silkie in her somewhere?

Oh actually she is part silkie! But is that normal for these types of feathers to grow in so late?
