I have about 2 dozen brown eggs and a dozen white eggs in my incubator. Today is day 8 and I decided to candle. Mainly because over the last couple of days 4 brown have burst and 1 white. These eggs were given to me, so I don't know how long they sat out before I got them and put them in, or if that makes a difference. I understand that it is hard to see in the brown eggs. In both the brown and white I do not see any veins. Should I at least see the veins in the white eggs by now? All I see in the white eggs is a blob floating around. Looks like a big yolk. The brown, I can see a blob and some have lots of pores. Other than that, I'm at a loss. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Day 8 and 5 out of 24 have burst? I have a feeling that someone gave you a bunch of old eggs. On day 8 you should see veining and a rocking embryo in the white eggs at least.

I figured that on the white eggs. =\

I have a handful of different white eggs that were set 4 days before the ones in question and I can see great veins and a little moving blob. I hate to tell the egg owner they're bad. They are Top Knot eggs. I don't think she was to concerned with the brown ones. ::sigh::
