We're supposed to have a storm rolling in this afternoon with winds up to 60mph and low temps of 38 degrees. There are warnings of potential power outages all over the city. Unfortunately I just moved my 6 week old chicks out to the coop a couple of days ago with their heat lamps. They are pretty well feathered at this point but I wouldn't say they're full feathered and I'm a bit worried about what to do if we lose power. Unfortunately the house has electric heat and an electric stove so it won't be much warmer inside and there won't be any way to fill them a hot water bottle to snuggle up to.

Any non-electricity needing ideas or do you think they'll be ok for a day or two without heat?

6 weeks old- they should be okay, as long as the coop is draft free. Hot water bottle filled with warm water is a great idea. Hope you and the chicks are safe.
