Should I be worried?

I am hatching eggs in my classroom and I thought everything was going great. We have had 4 hatch, and several pip. Some of the pip areas look like they are getting dry. Almost like tissue paper. The humidity is 78% and I have not opened the incubator. The chicks that have hatched are nice and wet. So should I be concerned that I have shrink wrapped them?

Best thing you can do is not open the incubator. The humidity can spike when chicks hatch out and will most likey come down. The dried part of the egg by the pip sound like normal, at least that is how mine look at this point in hatching. Sound like you are doing great.

Mine are almost all like that...kinda papery if they've taken a long to time to zip. Some were shrink-wrapped but most were fine. I don't think its a sign of shrink-wrappage or anything.
