Our new chicks are a day shy of three weeks old. Everyone is happy, active, growing and feathering out, eating and drinking, mocking the grown birds from inside their (large but swiftly getting smaller!) brooder, etc. They have a heat plate and eat medicated feed and nothing else (though I have seen them grab a couple of bugs -- grit is available).

This morning one of them dropped this during "recess" atop the brooder while I was checking in. Intestinal shedding or should I break out the Corid?

No need to worry about that poop, which contains intestinal shed, unless you start seeing it regularly and in increasing amounts. That would indicate a possible intestinal infection or worms.

As long as the chicks are sassy and continue to taunt the adults, you have nothing to worry about.
