Should I Butcher Them!

I have 6 red sex link hens that are about done laying. Should I get them butchered or not? I think they are about 2 yrs old. Are they gonna be good to eat?

"Get them," as in, pay to have them butchered? I wouldn't bother. If you can do it yourself, it might be worth it, but I wouldn't pay for butchering two year old birds.

do it yourself. get out the crockpot, cook a home-made meal that you really did make from scratch.


might sound tough, but you can do it, and these are the perfect birds to practice on.

you've given them the good life, thats all you could ever do, and make sure you get some more layers asap, buying a carton of eggs from the store is about the cruelest thing you can do to a chicken.
