I can only hope to have that kind of bond with one of my girls, the big ones don't run away since they've started laying, but they walk away if someone starts coming towards them. Much easier to catch since they started laying... Oh! And they did all dance before laying. So cute!

We love each and every single egg they offer us . I wouldn't really mind my own Roger, if anything, atleast we will never be bored.

Got 3 eggs out of the crew today. Astonishing.

We are still smarting from the untimely and unexpected loss of chipper. We only had him a month. I did not expect to get so attached to him.
 
7 eggs today... 5 brown and 2 green. The comets are still putting out eggs even though everyone is molting except for Harriet who decided to be broody all summer (lol). The EE's have really slowed down, as I'm only getting 2-3 eggs from them and one of them is from the white Ameracauna that just started laying. Onyx, my black EE is still a pretty reliable every other day layer even though she is molting. I still do not think my BCMarans is laying, and she turned 1 last month. She may not make the cull list this fall. She goes and sits in the nest regularly, but there is never an egg from her. It is frustrating, because I really wanted some dark eggs! Maybe my golden cuckoo marans will start laying soon!

Oh, and the dogs are driving me CRAZY!!!!! Paisley has come into heat, and Ratchet and Zauk have gone completely stupid! We can't even let Zauk in until we all go to bed and turn out all the lights because he has been trying to jump the gate to the mudroom to get to her! Thank goodness Hubby built it sturdy! (Did I show you all pictures? Oh well, I will now! LOL)

Gotta go check on the eggs. Dish guy is here. I am sick and I cannot go to bed because he is in the bedroom working.
 
Ninji, Cricket looks like a potential broody to me! that's the broody stance anyway... maybe next Spring!

I have 5 eggs in the house. that's it. only 2 laid today. and my customers want them. if I can come up with a dozen by Wednesday, that will take care of one of them...

I'll go check out the new birds tomorrow after work. likely to bring them home... not much else going on besides work. today is Mylee's 5th birthday. she had a big party yesterday and another party at school today. I sent her a 4 pack of Monster High dolls, which is what she wanted, so the phone call was full of high pitched squeals and delight... and she brought chocolate covered doughnuts with sprinkles to share with her class - not a child among them who has a food allergy! I'm bellyachin' for the lack of pictures, but they'll post some soon...

anyway... ya ya ya... I'm in a weird mood.
