Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I would like to see a statistic on crime per capita because you have fewer people than we do so a direct comparison wouldn't be an accurate picture. Also, be sure you don't form your opinion of how we view our police officers based on a couple of incidents and a very vocal group of people. People trusting and enjoying the protection of the police doesn't make good news and it certainly wouldn't make it to your news.

Sorry I didn't mean to offend, I made my assumptions on the us opinion of police through the years and you are right I was wrong to do so, you were certainly right about the news bit, nothing happy ever gets reported in the news.
Anyway, babs is acting a bit weird she was walking around all puffed up. I'm a bit concerned. The littles girls combs look slightly redder, they are now getting to the pale pink stage, still waiting :)
I checked the stats, I'll upload a pic later, the crime stats us vs UK (apart from some gun crime) were a lot closer that I thought..... Sigh, I guess I'm a bit too optimistic of the world we live in.
Still wouldn't get a gun though, and I stand by the rest of what I said :)

I'm not offended, and hopefully you weren't either because that wasn't my intent at all. It's just true that people being happy and good things happening doesn't make the news, particularly in other countries. I've lived in both the UK and the States, and both are nice. Nowhere is perfect, just is what it is.

Is Babs doing anything other than being puffed up? Eating and pooping okay?

Need to vent here. My car is running. My car is locked. The spare I have doesn't work. DH does not answer the phone. My purse is also locked in the car. AAA send a locksmith and I am waiting in the snow. Not a good start to the year. :(

Oh no scrambles! Did it get straightened out? We had AAA over today too. My friend who sold me the goats came over and her truck died in our driveway. If you're gonna have a car disaster it was convenient where it happened instead of on the road...

That's what I love about our group... People can say their opinions and it never blows out of control!!

Nice debate guys!!!!

It was a 90 minute wait, but all is good. It was odd though. The ignition key will open the door lock. The spare key will start the car, but the spare key will not open the door.

BTW... the SEAHAWKS are gonna be in the Super Bowl. I'm just sayin.

I will look for more symptoms tomorrow, she has been laying corrugated eggs though and they are really thin shelled, it's also like she is in a constant state of molt, in some places but that has been their since she got bitten. Quite frankly though, Im not too worried, she has seemed off for a while but I'm starting to think it's just that she is nearing the end of her life.

I'll be incredibly sad when she goes but I know I have given her the best life I could, she gets a corn on the cob each day and when we have a Sunday roast she dips her beak in the mash potato and then wipes it. After all isn't giving our pets the best life what it's all about? She was an ex battery hen we got at eighteen months old, she took two months to regrow her feathers. Later that year she was attacked by a fox, we saw her in it's mouth and I jumped through the open window and she was dropped on the ground. She was physically gasping for breath. We placed her in a seperate coop and put food and water in with her, but we really didn't think she would survive the night, if she did, we decided we would take her to the vets. She survived because she is a fighter, the vet patched up her wounds told us that she had broken three toes as well but said on a chickens they heal best without splints. He gave us medication to stop infections but told us that it might cause her kidneys to shut down, and if the White in her poop went green or bright orange her kidneys were gone and there was not hope. She survived that as well and was slowly introduce back to the flock and they welcomed her back with open arms. To this day in some areas where the fox bit her she has bright red skin from the scar tissue, this is where the feathers don't grow. A couple of months after she started to limp so badly she couldn't walk. Slowly she recovered from that. We think she got hurt because in our coop there are two doors, one with a ramp and one without for humans to poop a scoop, in the morning we open both doors so the don't have to all squeeze through one, we think the jumping down caused her old broken foot to flare up, so to this day we always lift her out in the morning and we haven't had another problem. She is a scraggy girl, she wouldn't win any award but a love her all the more, I hope once more she is a fighter and she gets through this but frankly, if she dies we have let her live her life to the full. I will dearly miss her.
