Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

ooh savannah! that's wonderful!!!

we got 2" of snow yesterday, so we lose the accumulation contest! today it is to rain, and hopefully melt all the snow and ice.

I've got to make an appt to see my MD, the ringing in my ears is bad. and I learned the hard way that salt makes it a lot worse! I don't really eat salt, just what is naturally in foods and the occasional salty snack. I ate a few handfuls of sunflower seeds and WOW! the ringing was so loud, it affected my eyesight! so I went to bed in the afternoon for a few hours, missed my flock and baby time, except for basic chores like feeding and water. I feel better this morning... no more salty snacks for me!

That sucks. I usually have it when I don't get enough sleep, but around Christmas, both hubs and I had it really bad. Seriously interfered with hearing and I was also getting a bit dizzy. Maddening. Lasted over a month before it finally calmed down. I thought maybe it was from a virus. Hope your MD can help.

Hey y'all! Been busy around here with hubby's surgery last week, DD had a field trip yesterday, and just generally crazy! Today is day 21 for Bitty's eggs and I hear peeping, but only feel eggs. I guess I'll have chick pics by tomorrow! I have been posting lots of pics on FB, but BYC isn't letting me post any from my phone. Again..... I will try my best though!

I have tinnitus, mine is the clicking type. I go to a chiropractor and that helps a lot. Apparently the clicking type is from a muscle spasm. I still get it but it's not loud enough to be bothersome right now.

I had some excitement last night.

i went to a friend's house to work on some fish tank light bulbs he has to sell, sorting and testing and whatnot. I stayed there til 11:45 pm. I drove the 15 minutes home and by the time I got here, I knew I was in for some sickness. You know how fast a stomach bug settles in? I left his house and I was aware that my tummy did not feel awesome but it was just like mild indigestion. 20 minutes later I was projectile vomiting and projectile....well...everything. Sometimes at the same time. It was probably the worst I've ever had. Normally I'm pretty stoic when I am sick and hubby is the whiner/moaner, etc. I was sleeping in very short intervals because the chills and body aches were so bad i couldn't sleep, besides having to get up all the time to go to the bathroom...I actually woke myself up moaning. It was awful.

Doing much better now. Whew. Kinda messed up my saturday though. I'm not sure if it was food poisoning or what, but I'm hoping it was just food poisoning because I don't want it to rip through my house.

I haven't even been able to check on the bator at all today. I was going to ask hubby about it but I realized if he told me anything other than a perfect number there was nothing i could do about it anyway. I did ask him once I was coherent and he said it read 100 which is perfect. It is staying pretty stable and staying under 101 which last time I err'd on the little bit too warm side and it freaked me out more than once and I regretted that.

I candled a couple yesterday and I could see some signs of life in them. Nothing like a spider ring yet but some of the definitely look different than candling a dud already. Tomorrow night I should find some spider rings.

Bitty has babies! Two so far. I was having to do a little musical nests because she had wallowed all the straw and shavings to the sides and the eggs were just on the wooden bottom of the nest box. In a span of three minutes, two of them had hatched. I quickly shuffled everyone and eggs back and she settled in covering them up. I think there is a yellow and a blue but I didn't get a very good look. I will try to get pictures in a bit.

Cream Legbars. They will lay blue eggs. Out of 7 eggs, we had two girls and three boys. The girls will eventually go to our coop. The boys will hopefully be sold. Can be bred with brown egg layers to make a variation of olive eggs. Hope we can find a market.
