I am sorry for your loss Karl, it can be so frustrating dealing with the predators

I'm so sorry karl, no chance that they're hiding somewhere? that's the rub... long hours of free range, the predators don't take long to show up. took mine 3 months and 2 days to find them, learn the ways of the day, and strike. they'll return every day until you have none left. you might want to curtail the length of free range they have. I tend to wait til later in the day, and never let them stay out til actual dark. by then it's too late. but that's me... I've lost birds at all times of day. early, late, and in between... but I still take the risk of free range.

Oh hun, bless your heart....I and everyone here knows how you feel......I hope you find out what happened to them and I really hope they are hiding up in a tree somewhere and come out soon

I have my fingers crossed for ya!

PS: Thermal Imager works real good when it's getting dark & you can't find your hens.....we found 2 of ours like that when we thought they had gotten eaten....they were hiding in the small tree behind the coop..... :)

That's great! :) I used to have a polish that sometimes decided to sleep in a ten foot high bush. The first time I though she had been eaten. I could never find her but each morning she would jump down. She caused me so much stress but it just goes to show that you shouldn't lose hope.
