I gave eggs to my mom and she cracked one and it was totally filled w blood. Not soon after I had a mysterious death of a chicken. When my mom told me I wondered if the two were related. I'm just soooo glad it was my mom who got that egg and not one of my customers!

Cute pups sully and your flock is gorgeous! I bet every mystery chick is a boy (or at least an extremely high %. Seems like an easy way to get rid of males).

the first of Cressa's to hatch! fingers crossed for lots more, Big Broody Mama is still all lovey and looking for babies and I KNOW she can hear it peeping... Gossy hasn't ejected a single egg and is so tight on those eggs... please... oh please - let me have enough for everyone to have a couple at least... I think this one belongs to Thelma's egg.

The eggs from my time away were partly incubated. I've found several. The dog doesn't care.
No broodies, so no chicks for me. For now anyway.

Okay, so really, what is the cutest baby animal? If not chicks, then I think ducks. Kittens? A puppy will melt your heart until they breath their puppy breath in your face.

I got my first egg today when I got home from school I found it and when my mom got home from work she had dozen store bought eggs, are these chickens like wizards or something...? Lol but I'm excited about my egg!!
