Now that the ex-broody is laying again, it was up to the ducks this past week. Today EVERYONE laid!

Thank you.
I have a metal roost that mine prefer in the run. I worry about them hurting themselves trying to hang onto slick metal. Of course in the rain they do slip off. Then it's funny! There is a bigger wooden roost that I think is higher in another area of the run, but they rarely use it.

Don't say that! I'm getting paranoid about the ducks! Of course, the chickens are fine, and they share a building.
Anyone else swear that "of course" used to be "ofcourse"? Granted, few people know that it is "a lot" not "alot" and there is another word we all use frequently (which I forget right now) that is up for debate lately. Spelling has become so confusing since we began this new crap. Even I will say "pic" at times instead of picture.

No. Of course has always been 2 words that I've ever seen. Awhile and alright can confuse people a lot of the time, but they are words. Typing shorthand has invaded the language. My kids say "lol" when something is funny.

the English language is so difficult. when I was a child, I was put in French lessons when I was in kindergarten. took it for 14 years, not fluent anymore, because of disuse, but I understand almost all I hear even if I can't answer perfectly... so when I was in Germany for a couple of weeks, I really immersed myself and learned to speak at least as well as a 5 year old in about 10 days. often, my grammar was the culprit, my vocabulary was Huge. (is...) anyway, a few folks were interested in learning a bit of English... how does Pee-ope-eluh spell People? or Lah-oo-gah-huh spell Laugh? ay caramba... I'm glad that the who and whom business is obsolete. that was my Mom's pet peeve and I rarely got it right.
