Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Her mother just had pneumonia. I don't think it's that, but I am spoiling the heck out of her, hoping TLC makes her better.
At first, I thought that she was just being cute by hugging me. It wasn't until ten minutes after her head hit my shoulder that I realized she really wasn't feeling good. At any time, if she wasn't in my arms for about two minutes, the tears would start. Like I said, even the bath was a no go. I sat in the rocker for 45 minutes reading to her. The first time she got down to switch books, she had a horrified look on her face as soon as she was out of the rocker. I fixed that, by bringing the whole bin of books up on the recliner with us. Because she won't drink, I found her baby bottles, and I'm hoping that she finished it before falling asleep. Ten ounces should help keep her hydrated. I'll resort to bottles for a few days if I need to.

I was womdering why she was coming a few hours early. when they left, and I put her down on the floor, I figured it out. They told me she had a fever, but seemed unconcerned if I had a thermometer (of course I do!!) and assumed I didn't have fever reducer (

). Fevers are meaningless though unless; Child refuses to eat. child refuses to play, child won't drink.."
I will also try to take her temperature in a while while she sleeps.
I have to confess I had a good evening snuggling. Didn't like the drool (germs) but the snuggling was so nice!

Watch for an ear infection--sounds like one could be brewing in those ears!

I am very happy to report that she drank her entire 10 ounce bottle, so she shouldn't be getting dehydrated!
I'm hoping it's the only bottle I need to give her, but I'll do whatever I have to to keep her hydrated. And happy.

hope you both got a good night's sleep MC! hopefully, she got out of the pneumonia environment in time...! don't you go catching it either - story time in the arms of love is the best supportive therapy along with fever reducer/pain reliever... I wish I could help... as a Celiac, I actually have a hyperactive immune system, rarely catch anything even if it's blown right in my face

I am fortunate enough to have a good immune system. However, there was very little sleep to be had for me. When I went to bed, Duckling had just quieted down, as had the chicks. Then the dog wanted all of my attention! He was mad that I wasn't able to give him any attention earlier because of Duckling. She wouldn't let me take even one arm away from her while we sat on the floor. I explained to her that he wanted attention, and she did pet him. I just wasn't allowed to! LOL!
She cried a few times through the night, and then the chicks began crying a little after four, and again forty-five minutes later. Then the dog started with me again. I finally got up around five, and have been listening to Duckling cry and go back to sleep for most of the morning. I caught a short nap, but not much of one. Duckling is now awake, and was singing in her crib. It's been about 20 minutes, and I haven't had to go get her yet. Taking this as a sign that her fever is gone. The sneezing... I'm hoping it's just normal "dust in the air" sneezing.
