MC, safe travels, and it's good that you can be there for them. and for you... I'm so sorry for your loss. the gifts are beautiful and quite perfect.
it stopped raining but stayed overcast and chilly with steady breeze. still, I carried 4 of my tamest large fowl. ones I can catch anytime in or out. I didn't want to chase after anyone that I couldn't catch if it started raining or just was time to go back. it was fun, spent almost 2 hours out. and we're to have bright sunshine for the rest of the week and weekend - warming to the 50's by then too. I'll do it again, and with different flock members... and maybe more than 4 at a time.

I do believe someone in the Pennsylvania thread just said that she was going to sell off her chickens if another one died mysteriously. No one else caught it, or at least commented on it. I have her blocked already, but decided to see what her post was about. I did ask her if that was what she was saying, and if she was, that it was completely irresponsible. This is the reason that we have to watch where we get our adult chickens from. Okay, any chicken.
Poor OK...been waiting 4 long years already...
It always makes me laugh when people answer the first post without realising that there are over 21,000 replies
