Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I have sex-link chickens bought at approximately 17 weeks of age, as per the hatchery, but I think I got a 15/16/17 week group. The first egg laid was 2 weeks later, followed by about 2 weeks apart per each chicken. Once the comb started to grow and turn red they laid eggs. I get 3 eggs every day, with one laying a double-yolk every other day, from my 3 pullets. Go ahead and buy the eggs. I still keep a carton of eggs other than from my chickens for when we want deviled eggs as fresh eggs are the devil to peel! Plus, you can cook and feed the store eggs to your pullets as a protein boost or for a cake recipe. I like my home raised eggs fried and not hidden away in a recipe. I have given away my eggs to friends and neighbors 1/2 dozen at a time. We have 2 people in the house and we don't eat eggs every day although I'd like to have them every meal!
