Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

YES! want some help?

Probably the only cookbook I could write and have any luck getting anybody to eat it. Yes I need your help.

I have another idea cheeka. What do you think about launching a new line of chicken treats? We could name it "Sweet Revenge Chicken Treats" and the treats would be like those animal crackers but in the shape of all the known chicken predators. Little coons, foxes, hawks ect. I think they would sell.

they would definitely sell! i've seen "people crackers" for dogs... on a large scale, it might be worth approaching a company that already has the equipment and just needs to tweak the molds for the right shapes...

the cookbook idea is fairly simple to do ourselves, especially if it's an e-book (or even a nice thread on here), but if you wanted to publish an actual book, we should look into Amazon.com self publishing... at least to make the first dozen or two, and then send those out to actual publishing houses to see if an interest can be generated. or just sell them through Amazon...
you could also open it up to byc members to contribute their "recipes" and photos...

i was thinking of running a contest open to all byc members with the prize being a golden feather membership... and lesser prizes being the stuff that can be purchased through the byc store, but i haven't finished thinking it through, nor have i written to the head honcho of byc to find out what restrictions/limitations they might have in place...

And then the sub titles for packaging the different treats. There has to be one named "Sweet Karma". On the package it will say "Made with Real Raccoon Meat". Kind of crazy? Wait hear me out. They put horse meat in dog food right? This can be done. Trappers could supply the coons. A feed processor could get it into chicken size bites and packaged. Just enough to provide the right amount of protein and other daily essentials. The demand for coons will go up when this takes off. Coons may even become scarce. Fox treats will be available too. Same for them. And then the day will come when coons and foxes become livestock and we turn our Ft Knox compounds into quarters for raising coons and foxes while the chickens free range and eat "Sweet Karma". Karma is a Bok Bok Beeeiiooootttcch. Now who is the predator?

So wanting to reward them I fixed them a meal
They did their part and that was the deal
Sevens not perfect but not a bad day
With their bellies full they called it a day
To stuffed to make it up on the roost
Like a good dad I gave each a boost
I locked them in, it was now getting late
Knowing tomorrow they would lay eight
As I dozed off to sleep and started to dream
I woke up startled from a chickens scream
Running half naked I knew it was bad
I had to get there, they needed their dad
With gun in hand I threw open the door
And found the poop board had crashed to the floor

Enjoying all the rhymes, but this one was quite visually evocative! Be careful racing around without britches on if that Mallardgator avatar is loose in your yard!

well done! and as usual, has inspired the following for you;

The noises you hear, the squeaks, skwauks and growls,
the scratches, the screeches and oh yes! the howls!
The bumps and the bangs, the sounds of the night
are always so ominous, and give such a fright!

It sends shivers of terror ~ a spine full of fear!
Get your feet up and running ~ will you make it? Oh Dear!
You know in your heart, your head's full of dread,
The noise is so loud, they all must be dead.

Swing open the gate and sprint to the coop,
and what did you find, but the board used for poop!
It came down with a CRASH! a BOOM and a ROAR!
you slump with relief, your back to the door.

The kids are all staring, Dad is upset!
to do it again, they'd all make a bet,
they'll figure a way... to make lots of roars!
Just to see Dad, wearing only his drawers...!
