Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Love this picture!

Quote: Well now, there is a racetrack at the Sonoma County fairgrounds for horses which is in Santa Rosa (we raised Thoroughbreds when I was a kid) and there is the Infineon Raceway near Sonoma for car racing. You are also in Derby country!

I'm about 10 mins away from the racetrack and about 30 mins away from the raceway.
Yes I was referring to Infineon. I watch all of the Nascar races they have there. I can be at Churchill Downs in less than a hour. Keeneland in a hour.... but I don't go there. Not enough horsepower.

My dad watches Nascar on TV and I asked him why he doesn't go see the races, maybe take a grandson who also like Nascar? He said he's too old to sit all day on a concrete bench far from a bathroom with plugs in his ears. I've always thought I'm becoming my mother, but thinking back on my negative thoughts about attending the Stupor Bowl, I realize how much influence is from pops. I'm becoming a grumpy old man!!!

I edited my last post to ask if they have tourist traps for bourbon drinkers. I'm curious. The wine has become quite insidious around here. Big money.

Sure they offer tourist traps. I knew Heaven Hill did because I pass there all the time. http://www.kybourbontrail.com/index.php/heaven_hill/

Ha! Their little map shows other tasting sites that you to drive to after tasting so you can drink some more before driving to the next place. Couple of years back, the CHP was really working the county roads looking for folks who weren't driving straight. Seemed to help quite a bit, raising awareness and fear of getting caught. Now the biggest danger is during harvest, when the big trucks can't quite make the curves on our narrow country roads.

We still ride horses in Kentucky so nobody gets hurt. lol. I see a lot of tour buses. I wouldn't want to be on a tour bus full of whiskey drunks. Thats probably more dangerous then letting them drive.

So you see it's the ultimate "tourist trap"....Charge you to tour. Sell you bourbon. Charge you sales tax. Let you leave the parking lot tipsy then lock you up. Impound your car. Make you hire a lawyer. Charge you to get released from jail. Make you pay to have your car towed to the impound lot. Fine you for driving drunk. Then sell you more bourbon to drown your sorrow.
