Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

it can take months for new feathers to come in. keep the protein up and it should come along faster. expect a drop in eggs, their bodies cannot store protein, so it's a choice, feathers or eggs... did I mention I got 13 Eggs today? much better!

Yeah I think they picked the BOSS out. I may add cat food later this week.

kitten food is 40% crude protein, most adult dog and cat for is between 19%-31%... I got the kitten food to try it and Blu started sprouting immediately, so I'm sticking with it!

My one girl has some light feather loss towards her lower back similar to your Rosé. The other doesn't have any one spot....she just has feathers falling out all over I feel like, but you don't see baldness .

I didn't leave the house today so I will pick up some extra cat food for them later in the week. I've never given them any meat before...maybe I will this week. Or some eggs. They haven't laid all week. I talked to their original mom today and she said they are two and a half and have been through two molts she saw already. The younger girl has the cross beak. And has molted once.

It's hard to find good high protein foods....I have the hardest time with my dogs ...I ended up feeding them people food for quite some time when Maggie seemed to need the high protein.

I still haven't ordered the incubator....I wish I could just order. A broody lol.
After this next set of eggs I have two more planned sets.
Lavender oops and French BCMs. Next year I will be out of space for chickens lol

I have dry kitten food. I add some layer feed, some BOSS and maybe peanut hearts or other seeds I have on hand... and I add hot water, stir and let it sit. when it's absorbed the water, I add a little more and stir it really good till all the feed turns to mush, Everyone LOVES it
