From what I understand the rooster will pick through and get what he needs. That's all I feed now is layer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong! I also have free choice oyster shells out for them

When I was out of town for like 36 hours I was always texting my hubby to ask how the girls were doing. I know what you mean. I have even thought about cutting our upcoming vacation shorter because of the chickens but more out of concern for them causing a ruckus while I'm not home and the whole AC thing
