Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

congrats lindz! can't wait for pics and for pics of W4W's new bunch! Gossamer has 5 days to go, maybe 6, we had some chilly weather - she didn't budge, but still, it may have slowed things down a bit. this week is supposed to be perfect mid 70's, no rain... every day.

today was fantastic. we had all day free range - we didn't do anything about building the roof, but we got all the supplies stacked up by the pen... Brutus and I had some fun

I made sure his feet were clean.

11 Eggs today

We had a busy day today.... No chicks this morning.  We went to Hubby's grandma's early this morning, and then back by my dad's this afternoon.  We had a great day. We got back home right at dark, and had to find a few of the incubator chicks who got out of the run while we were gone, and then couldn't find their way back in.  They were roosted on the wood pile behind the coop.  It was no big deal to get them into the coop.  Then, I finally got to check for babies.... and we have :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy so far!

Yay! I still have forever to go. :barnie

I am in shock! We had 4 chicks last night.......

Way to go LINDZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Harriet of course!!!

You know what's even more torture waiting on? It's lockdown! The first 17 days went by pretty quick this time around. I wasn't even obsessively candleing.

But boy does it feel like forever since they went into lockdown and it's only been about 12 hrs!

Why no chicks yet??????????Hahahahah.... Keep cooking little babies... at least for a bit.

Clindz it won't be long though! This is the first time we have gotten 100% hatch! I have to figure out what to do with all these chicks. ...Lol. I will get more pictures later but it is chilly here and I didn't want them to get cold.
