I do believe that Smoke and Penny have joined Rumples in the No Egg Strike.

My two Pita Pintas laid three eggs today--two, including a soft shelled egg, were there in the morning. One more was in their nest box this afternoon.

The soft shelled egg was likely stuck and the second egg was already coming down.

Everybody wake up!! I woke up this morning and heard little peeps coming from my incubator. I looked inside and saw one egg had a zip or pip or whatever its called, a crack. So I was thinking to myself I've got until at least tonight to set up my brooder because none were supposed to hatch until Saturday or Sunday. I didn't even get to lock it down or up my humidity! So I get home from taking girls to school and can hear the peeps treally loud. This is what I found.

Yeay! Peeps!!
I cleaned two coops yesterday. The six by six is finished, and the twelve by six is all but ready for fresh bedding. I didn't wear anything over my mouth, and forgot a drink. After two or so hours, I couldn't breathe. The girls are able to get into the storage area where a lot of bedding still is. They like that!! It was raining after I stopped. It gave them something to do.
This morning I am listening to a hen or two do that loud noise you usually hear in cartoons. Very funny!

I just realized that I haven't gotten any pictures of the chicks or flock in awhile. Guess that needs to be remedied. Today is the oldest DD's birthday. She is 8...oh where does the time go? Cake and ice cream tonight! Until then it is spree cleaning and stressing out!

@mortie... I am old and need reminding. How old were your Ameraucanas when they first laid an egg? I am worried that mine will lay when I am out at elk camp.
