You'll never know for sure until you get an egg!!! Lol! But red combs and squatting are good signs that they're close!!!

I got 3 eggs today. broke them all. I'm so annoyed. (at myself)

I got a reprieve for tomorrow, the guy I'm covering for 2 weeks doesn't leave til Friday and he offered to work tomorrow and give me a chance to rest. I took him up on it immediately. then I took a nap.

my favorite photo from today. it was so beautiful and sunny - we haven't seen the sun for weeks it seems... but then, the brightness just gave me a headache for the rest of the day. Flu is the pitts!

I believe that Rumples is officially broody. I gave her a fake egg today and I will give her another tomorrow. I was just lazy. (remodeling sucks). In 2 weeks.... she will get 2 chicks to raise.

I am losing my voice which I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED Friday, desperately. So, I'm trying to pretty much do vocal rest.

How to fail at vocal res:

Step 1 - stick arm in saltwater fish tank

Step 2 - bump something metal that has current going through it

Repeat as desired.

I am kind of embarassed to say I did repeat it at least once before I unplugged the dang thing and took it down.

i use this once a week we went from 12 eggs to 25 yesterday, i think it works, some say no but thats ok i am looking for the day i go in coop nd find 46 eggs, yes we have 46 hens an 1 roo, even if it don't work they love the pie, my 5 new ones i don't think ever had one they just looked at me. we left the door open so the new chicks could come out, lol no all my others went in boy there was no room to poop in there it looked so funny wall to wall chicks.
