Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Third day of laying.......My RIR have delivered a so cute, small egg for 3 days in a row. I thought maybe the 24 hr cycle would get latter, but around 545am CST you can hear her singing. The coop is still closed up, so remaining flock moves to the opposite end of coop. Don't know if it's her singing or the frantic thinking."Is this going to happen to us" What's wrong with that girl?"
PS, I cooked the other 2 eggs yesterday in coconut oil in skillet. The twins loved them. One 3 yr old said, "This is yummy grandma."

Cheeka, I am down to 184 on the waiting list for All the Light We Cannot See, down from 217. Walked into a different library branch today, and there was a copy sitting out in the new arrivals section! Scooped it right up and hubs just informed me the book is "riveting." He is on page 6.

W4W! that is so great! I felt the same as hubby - probably by page 6 as well... hooked hard and lost in the potential of what was to come! I'm so glad you got a copy! can't wait til your chance to read to hear what you think!
I lent my copy to the clerk in my office, her Mom snatched it... I'll get it back after her whole family has read it...

Have I missed something?

What book is this?
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Cheeka recommended it. I don't even know what it's about, but it gets great reviews.

I will have to find time to sneak read while hubs is at work. Can only keep it for 3 weeks, no renewals since it is on the new book list. I still kept my hold active too.

If you have trouble making decisions, don't try to buy that book on kindle! There are hundreds of results! The book, summaries, companion books... It's enough to make your head spin!
I'm into other stuff now, so I'll look into buying the book later. I did see it's only 500 some pages. LOL! I didn't realize how much I love reading until I heard myself say that!

Howdy all.... back from elk camp empty handed. Oh well....
We processed the three cockerels from Rumples last brood. I ended up with just one pullet. I am hoping that she lays an olive egg in the Spring. I have decided to name future hens after my BYC friends on this thread. Since OK started this thread, my pullet shall be named Roger. I only hope that she is a better layer. She looks kinda like Roger too. More muted though.

MC, once my copy is back in my hands, I'll mail it to you if you would like...

I've got a new handyman.

old handyman had to move away because the house he was renting, sold. so he moved where he could find steadier work and could live with his Dad til he figures out what to do next. I miss him already...he's been around a few times to bring me stuff he borrowed for jobs, like my power washer... I told him he could live here... I have space and he wouldn't have to pay rent if he would help me out... kind of felt silly telling him that but I really hate to see him go. anyway, I have a new one, he was here today and will build what I need for the back pen at the end of the week. it won't look like a circus tent anymore...
