Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

May I please apologize for everything I have said in the past day?

No need! I didn't say any of that to make you feel bad. Now I feel bad!

I just wanted to reassure you that you would be welcome there. I have tried posting on a couple like you were talking about and was completely ignored, so figured I'd move on to greener pastures. And there are lots of green pastures!!

Focus on the babka!

Let it sooth you and give you peace!

For Mothers day my youngest Daughter(16 years old) made cheese cake with strawberry topping!

I hope you feel better!
What is in the babka? chocolate?

And the cheesecake looks scrumptious! Can I adopt your daughter for a little while. I only have boys, and they don't cook for me! (Hubby does, though.

hi and happy Mother's day.

I had a rough day. the sun came out in the afternoon but the wind was whipping, gusting to 60 mph, so we didn't have free range. I gave everyone a good once over, because I noticed that one of my fave's, who happens to be named after my Mom... has a distended crop. it didn't seem to be emptying over the past few days, and now she has a wound from her legs rubbing against it. I have separated her, gave her strawberry tops with lots of berry meat left on... I don't think I can save her. she's not thin, but I don't know how to make a bra for her. and that wound...... I'm going to go to Agway after work tomorrow to see if I can rig her up with something, but I may have to have her put down.

this is the only thread I post on regularly, haven't even been on the fun one's like What's this Chicken Thinking...

Sorry to hear about your hen. Maybe some vet wrap would help hold the crop up? I've heard people give olive oil and then massage gently to try to move things along. Yogurt or probiotics might help if it's more of a digestive thing. Keep her warm and see if she's pooping. Whole grains or anything hard to digest is probably best avoided for now. Hope she does better tomorrow. Is her comb droopy?

Kathy has an emergency thread that might have some useful info. There is a bit to wade through, but I trust her info. post #1
