Well... this is the total count. 5 chicks. 50% hatch. I did an eggcropsy and the Swedish Flower was not fertile. One egg was partially developed and 2 we fully developed, but failed to hatch. I guess one egg was destroyed. The Littles are so adorable. DH isn't mad, but if I want to keep more than 1, older ones will go to freezer camp.

The ducklings have become the parents.

The dish was cleaned out and refilled with water a moment later.

That is sweet. Wonder if the chicks will want to go swimming!

No bantam chicks. They are a Wellsummer and mix of BCM and EE. If I remember correctly. But.... you never know.

Chicks swimming is a concern... Not much of one though!
Some people say that chickens will wade in a pool on a hot day. I have never seen it. Have you guys?
