Its been a long day. We rode atvs in the mountains and saw 6 elk calves. When the calves saw us, they yelled for mommas. Mommas answered, came running and ushered their babies down the hill. So cute.
We had many fires last year, but Mother Earth is already rebounding.

Since we are such a small group, I am going to say, "You guys remember" that several years ago I was tearing up the carpeting in the house. I showed you the picture of the mismatched wood in the living room. We all decided that I should leave the bottom carpet down.
Today, I practically gave away my beautiful sectional. Duckling will now have room to play in here.
Since Duckling is around, I needed to get rid of that dusty, moldy, disintegrating carpet. I was disgusted and overwhelmed to see the damage that the termites had done. I did not forget that I had had termites, but I forgot that there would be damage to the floor. I was just thinking that I might find one or two dead ones in the corners once the carpet was up.
I have arranged the living room… For now. I can't say for the night, because I think I'm going to go out to the back porch/sun room tonight to get my two end tables that I've been storing there.
After that, I need to decide whether or not I am going to leave my desk in the dining room. I like that the desk is there where I can keep an eye on other things. Duckling, but the rest of the house as well. Like, when I have company in the morning. I can still be on here, and not miss out on being with them. Besides, I would have to put a coffee pot in the room with my desk!!
Anyway, I really do like the other room as her playroom. We will discuss the deacons bench and a further date!

The darker chair is actually the dog's. The blanket on the floor between the chairs is his as well. While I have been posting, he finally settled down onto it to sleep. Before that, he was on my chair with me ... Except when I was actually on the computer, and he was on my chair by himself. That is not like him, because my chair is usually too high for him to jump onto.
