Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

The bird flu several years ago made the one breeder stop-- She worked at a poultry plant and could not risk infecting them. I can't keep roosters so can't keep them going.

As far as I know, these will be the last of them which is a shame since they lay blue eggs In amounts similar to a leghorn and are very pretty.

This is a splash pullet

That's a shame. Seems like someone would want to take on the project. Roosters aren't an option for me either. :(

Thank you, W4W

I had to buy costco eggs.

They are not as bad as I remember them-- but I have only used them for baking so far. I still have some eggs from the flock for eating LOL!

I bought some eggs from a Walmart grocery we have around here. Not impressed. Very anemic looking. Got some regular TJs eggs, and they are much better quality. Worth the wait in line to get in. I get 2 dozen at a time.
Not expecting home eggs for a long while.
