Carl; Eliza (Lucas Pinckney) (known for raising new crops in Colonial South Carolina, particularly Indigo, Eliza and her husband, Charles, raised four children Two sons grew up to be famous patriots--Charles Cotesworth Pinckney and Thomas Pinckney. Both served as Revolutionary War officers, and Charles later signed the U.S. Constitution.)

John; Phillis (Wheatley) (kidnapped as a child in Africa, brought to Boston and sold into slavery. She was educated and later became a poet, today, she is known as the Mother of Black Literature in America)
