Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Bad news, a friend of mine fell 30 feet off a roof. Prognosis is guarded due to complications, but spinal cord intact., so we will look to hope. Prayers will help, he's a really good old guy and had no business on a roof - probably trying to help someone out. In icu so will stay in touch with the nurses before visiting and play it by ear...sometimes alot of visitors is countrproductive. So that wrecked my day, I will tell him so as soon as possible. Bumming.

Sorry about your friend. In the midst of a strange and chaotic hospital setting, I think it can really help patients to hear a friendly and familiar voice. Just let him know that if he's tired and wants to rest, it's OK that he sleeps whenever he needs to.

Yes, true. He had a rough night and the icu nurse thought it best if he stay medicated and quiet today. So we will call first before making the trip. They get to know exactly what's best for their patients, and she was very caring.

That's comforting he has such caring and responsive nurses. ICU nurses are a special breed! Sounds like your friend is in good hands.
