Aha, not too late. But it is for broody. Can't you just imagine how cute that little golf all will be it cute little feet and a head? Two options, get fertile eggs and let her hatch, or try to break the spell. Lotta different ways, if i ever wanted to try it I'd prob switch out the golfball with ice cubes. You could also deny her access to the nest...sounds mean. Do you want me to send you a few fertile eggs? They'd be game cross right now.

How much you think it would cost to send that rooster to me in a cab?

UPS??? UPS!!!

USPS does 80% of UPS "last mile deliveries", they hardly ever "complete" a delivery anymore in rural areas, they drop the parcels off at the PO and we take them from there... same with FedEx, but I'm not sure of the %age.

UPS charges a lot more, so you could spend double the money and still get it from USPS anyway...

The USPS goes way out of its way to ensure proper handling and safe delivery of live animals, I deliver all kinds of creatures... chicks, chickens, roosters, racing pigeons, fish, I've delivered hundreds of seahorses to this guy who has a 500 gallon tank...

I do understand when folks don't want to ship their birds, but as an "ambassador" for the USPS, I want to spread the word that we will even come out on Sundays and holidays to get your live animals to you as quickly as possible... and customers are always welcome to go to the districts General Mail Facility to pick them up as soon as they arrive or if we've missed you during the delivery day... (I always leave my cell phone # on a "we missed you" slip, if you reach me before the end of the day, I will drive back, no matter what... and so will all the other express drivers...) the GMF's are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Can't say that about UPS or FedEx...

Hey, I LOVE our post office...and the mail lady, she doesn't mind when my dog follows her up the hill, drop the, mail, and back down...and she'll honk when I have a large box (putting it in a plastic bag first, before hanging it) and drive up my drive with a signed delivery.. could just put a missed slip in the box. However, I have had many things broken when shipped long distance..well packed, and over insured. Now, fed ex, the guy drove by us with a guarentee next day, honked, kept going. Came back by, honked and kept going. There was no where else on that mountain that could possibly have a drop. I haven't seen that guy anymore...he even put-declined delivery the next day on his slip. Thing is, we called the business that used this fed ex, and it was the second time it had happened...this is a large manufacturer, and we needed the piece immediately...so that little stunt cost...we paid for a service we didn't get...like I said..we haven't seen that guy anymore. We got our money back. Unfortunately, there is a trend going on, large companies no longer care about employees, and employees no longer care about the job they do, even to the point of 'kick the dog' syndrome....I am speaking in broad terms. Yes there are still people unaffected, but few and far between. Ups still does a better job, but if there is even a tiny dent on the package, they get to sit there while I open and inspect the contents...any of the services...and you can bet I will raise hell if there's a problem..and I want just compensation. It's just the principle of it. Knowing that packages are mishandled intentionally lights me on fire.

Broody hen still sitting. Glad the other one wasn't in the nest box last night. Probably no more perfect egg days while this is going on.

Well, what you going to do? If you break her she will start laying again, but if not able, no eggs. If you let her sit it's 21 days, then 4 or 5 weeks with the chicks. But they are so darn cute it's worth an egg a day.
