Should I buy this hen?

I considered getting them all, but put on my big girl hat long enough to consider that I don't think I would have the space for all of them right now. I hate thinking like an adult. Just because I am 48, do I have to act like a grown up?

I wonder if I could convince a friend to take some? She likes India Blues, maybe I could offer her some as a gift with the promise to take them back if the noise is a problem?

High tomorrow is going to be 6.

Yep, I do. I have had several fellow BYC'ers come by my humble abode to buy or see my birds. And I have done a visit or two on people from here too. Good Lord, I couldnt take that kind of cold. Heck I hate it when its just above freezing LOL! I dont sell or have nowhere near the birds of what I used too.(I guess about 70 now) Used to have over 200. But of course thats always subject to change. You never will know with me cause thats how waterfowl addiction can be. ha! ha! But I do have some good ones and I love what I have. I have to buy my son some ruddy ducks shortly myself. He has always wanted them.

Ohmygosh!!! I just looked and the ad changed!!!

I have 7 peafowl left. 3 males 4 females. Colors range from black shoulder, white, opal, and blues. All 3 years old and will lay in 2013. $75 each or $500 for the group. I am selling because I have to many birds for the family to take care of now that I am in college. These are adult birds and I will accept any offers. I also have a royal palm hen that raised 13 chicks this spring, great mother and highly fertile. 50 obo. Call for more info! Thanks!

I need to get with DH ASAP and make sure he's ok with it... sent the seller a message to say that I am interested in the opal and the whites, just need to figure if I can schedule a pick up (I work nights and my only days off are Tue and Wed). Stupid snow needs to quit falling!
Egad! The cost of feed seems to be hurting so many folks. Now is a good time to buy the breeder birds!
Isolate them for several weeks and get them tested so you know you aren't introducing anything. Blood tests and fecal samples insure you spend less on down the road.

Not at this last one Augeredin. But my son and his friend did. He brought back a banty rooster and 3 boy ringnecks with not much for tails on em haha. I got woke up at 5 in the morning by that darn thing. they ate him that afternoon after I told them this aint happening We may have the ringers for din din later too. Who knows. For two bucks a bird who cares right. He did say they had about 8-9 peafowl but I didnt go into detail with him much. Ill probably go to the next one though.

Paxton isn't too far...Hmm...I doubt I would be allowed to get more birds now, but with my Birthday comming up who knows...I would probably just go to see what it is like and talk to people and stuff.

I would call the seller and ask what colors are the males and what are females? Some of them if hens can work with your colors group to. Like Zazouse stated you can always sell off the ones you are not interested in which will give you back some of the $500 spent.

How do you add auction birds to your tested flock? do you test them first then add them?
