Should I clip wings?

I have pekin ducks and they are getting bigger. When outside they seem to be trying to fly. Do pekin ducks fly? I googled it and some sites say they can and others say no..... Should I consider clipping their wings?

Our fence is about 7 feet high, so no I don't trim their wings or the call ducks. The rouen, yessir I do!!!

They get a little bit flighty when they are young, but I have not seen one getting more then 2 feet of the ground. Later they will get to heavy to even gain a foot of flying hight. Don't clip them, unless you have one that makes the fence, which I doubt will happen. Don't sweat it.

Debiraymond, I'm confused. You clip your Rouens wings, but not the calls? If your Rouen can get over a 7 foot fence, it's not a Rouen. Lol. And the same for the calls. They SHOULD be able to easily leave if they wanted. They may not have a desire to, but if they get bored they just might fly the coop on ya.
