It is going to be either remnants of yolk sac, or loop of bowel (less likely). I have had both. If it is a loop of bowel the chick will die. If it is yolk sac it will dry off, and you can snip it of safely, but I usually wait a week to make sure no bleeding occurs.

Ok so here is the part of my question that i dont think anyone answered. right next to this little now dried up sack coming out of its lower abdomen there is a little long thin thing about a quarter of an inch in length maybe a little more that is pink in color and really thin and round. Its hard to explain but its protruding from there and im not sure if its supposed to be there or if its just something that should be inside of it.
