earlyer today (more like 30 mins ago) my father got mad at me for some stuipid reason and threatened to take my chicks out of my room and put them outside. well, they are a week old. meanwhile, i have 60ish other, older chickens outside. should i fight my father for the sake of my chicks? oh and diid i meantion that it gets below 32 degrees Ferenhight at night and has been stayng at the 40s in the daytime? should i fight back?????

Chicks that old should not be going outside without a mother hen to look after them. Putting them outside with your older hens/Roos would just get them killed. Leaving them in their own would result in them freezing to death. Chicks need to be fully feathered out before they can go outside normally (around 6 weeks), the colder it is the older they should be.

I personally don’t care how mad your dad is at you, he can’t put 30 chicks life’s on the line just to punish you. I’d fight him back, you don’t need excuses to do what’s best for a helpless animal.

First step would be to figure out what you did to make him upset and try to alleviate it

Using insults doesn't seem like a good way to get what one wants. It would be better to have a calm discussion, figure out what went wrong earlier and why, and decide how to solve it in a peaceful way. You can also explain that the chicks are too young to go outside, and that they need to stay within a certain temperature range in order to survive.
