Should I get a walk-in coop?

this is the coop we bought and i wish we had a walk in cleaning this one is hard have to pick it up move it to clean under then pick up and move back the roost is the easiest part to clean my husband is going to build us a walk in coop soon i cant wait

I like my elevated coop. To me it is very easy to clean because I use a poop board with PDZ on it. There are many different designs. This is mine.

The only modification I have made since these pictures were taken is I lowered the roost and poop board about 8 inches. It made them cleaning a little easier.
I like this design, it works for me. My chickens are outside all day and they only come in to sleep or lay eggs.

I did have one of those scoops that was basically on the ground and they were awful. This new one is so much better. My knees and back are grateful.

I love having a walk-in coop and run, we're able to get out of the weather when doing "chicken chores" and no crawling to get that wayward chicken or egg in the far corner.

Mine is walk-in, and I can't imagine coping with anything else. I'm enclosing a corner of the space for a trio for breeding this spring, inside, because I've got plenty of space there. No separate building needed! My meat birds (Freedom Rangers) coming in April, will be a movable hoop coop in the yard. I could use that for breeding groups if needed, and move it around rather than cleaning it out. Mary
