I have a budgie and she doesn’t like to be touched and that is okay but I feel like she is lonely. I was thinking should I get another budgie so she isn’t lonely and before introducing the budgie to the other one to tame it first so some things I have read don’t happen. Do you think I should get another I have a big enough cage what are your thoughts

Budgies are flock birds, I would always recommend having more than one. They don’t have to be opposite sex, any combo works. Just introduce them slowly, like having the new bird in a temporary cage beside the older one, like “see but don’t touch” for a week or so.

Your new budgie will bond with the current one and will likely not want to be handled either. You might try obtaining a mature human bonded bird that someone is getting rid of or get a baby and keep it separate until it is well bonded to you.
