I don't think ducks are going to work out. We decided to just get 3 chicks in the spring from our feed store.

I am thinking about asking my parents about getting maybe 3 ducks but I need more info on them before I ask. I am wondering what are the best things about getting ducks? Do they go very well with chickens? How much space does each one need? Would 2 or 3 of them be able to just have a kiddie pool? I might ask more questions as time goes on. And I have heard that Khaki Campbells are considered one of the best, but was also wondering about Cayugas too.
I am glad it is going to work for you. Maybe when we get the chicks in the spring, I can convince my mom to let me at least get one.Oh WOW you are exactly at the same stage as me except i have already chosen Runner Ducks as my breed as they lay well and dont need to swim if i go on holidays but i have 2 ponds and 1 dam so they shall have plenty of fun, i hope.
