Should I get eggs everyday?

Hi!
My 2 Golden Comets are 7 months old. Both girls laid an egg yesterday for the first time…yay! No eggs from either today, though.
Is this common?

Yes first time layers are slow at the start and may not lay another egg for a few days but they will pick up egg laying as they get older

And the eggs usually get bigger.
