Should I get purina flock raiser?

I am going to tsc this weekend as I’m almost out of duck food. I want to get purina flock raiser but don’t know if I should just get the 5lb bag or the 50lb bag. They are 4 weeks old and will be 5 by this weekend so I wouldn’t need it for long. So 5 or 50 lb bag?

50 lbs bag. That's what I feed my youngsters as I have turkeys, layers, show birds, etc. all at the same time

I only have 2 ducklings and would need to switch their food eventually

That should be ok! The bag will give species specific instructions.

If you can get Purina duck pellets that would be the best thing since you've only got ducks and that food is given from hatch through life. The only thing you would ever have to add would be oyster shells on the side if they turn out to be girls. You don't have to worry about that until they start laying though.

While you are there pick up a bottle of B-complex and give it over treats to give them an extra boost.

My TSC used to only carry the small bags but I got them to order the big bags. Be assertive!

Switch to what? The Purina site says they can eat Flock Raiser their entire life. (If/when you have mature females laying eggs, keep oyster shell available free-choice as well.)

Two adult ducks could go through a 50 pound bag in about a month, so I don't know how long it would last your babies--but they do grow fast, and their appetites grow with them!

Depends on where you live and how you store it. I find flock raiser crumbles dot stay fresh long but I live in a humid climate. Pellets seem to last longer.
