Should I get rescue chickens from a battery farm or free range farm???

if you have other healthy hens then you shouldn't just in case the new ones you get are sick, unless your fine with keeping the new ones in the house for a few days

If I was rescuing chickens I would pick up all the "come get my 2 year old spent hens for dog food and fish bait" adds I see on Craigslist weekly.

That is awful, what a way to advertise chickens. I haven't seen any adds like that here in Wales, in fact, I don't think we have a Craigslist, I will check. I did try gumtree but there was no rescues there.

I would like some eggs out of them to you know, otherwise I would get a dog from the RSPC so its not put down. But I think the ladder in the coop would be too steep for a dog.

Honestly, if I could find an add here offering chickens for good home, I would have them. My sister phoned me last week and told me her pal had 12 ducks needing a good home, but we just aren't geared up for them so I had to decline, sadly.

If you know where we can get these spent dog food bait hens here, please let me know and we will go get them. Thanks

That is awesome! If you lived in my area your coop would be full tomorrow. I love your set up... Your chickens are going to be living in luxury. :)
