Should I get rid of my rooster?

Grape kool-aid on the head makes them look like purple haired old ladies, so the roo won't be interested in mating!

Maybe he will get a little more finesse with age(if he is pretty young).
Just FYI, my chickens would pull the heads off of each other for grapes, so I really don't think the ingredients in grapes are bird repellant(I could be wrong, I truly often am).

I have an EE cockerel ( Pinhead ), who use to not just rip feathers out, but took a chunk out of the neck of one of his girls when he was young and learning. He has lightened up on the aggressive techniques, and now is about one of my best boys. That says alot, cause I have 35 Roo's/cockerels. He guards his girls at nite, lets them have the better place to roost. Keeps them from gettin into fights. A SUPER SWEET BOY! And I like his looks. Glad I let him work out his frustrations. A very stable boy.
I say give your boy some time. Lets see if he turns for the better like Pinhead.

You're right: grapes are not bird repellants, they're bird candy! It's the artificial grape flavoring that is yucky. Like many processed foods, grape kool-ade has never been near a real grape.

Yes, in fact it is an extremely rare variety called "Artificial Grape Flavoring" I am not sure just what nationality that name is but I am pretty sure it is not Italian. I have been looking for years to find a vine or two as I notice it is used in a lot of products but must be in short supply due to the lack of availability. If anyone knows of a source for these vines please contact me privately concerning a business proposal. I am certain we can make a fortune.
