should i get white guinea fowl

If the top is covered yes at least put them out to eat grass. At least that's a better life than living in a cage

I'm not partial to anything else that needs cleaning when dirty.. (

It's already a chore trying to keep the house clean with 3 muttly dogs in the house. (Neither of the 3 are mine and some how I'am the one that cleans up after them.)

Why not just get some darker colored Guineas? I have a tan colored chicken and she is already a magnet for hawks because they can see her better. I would horrified if she would be a white chicken.

My whites stay clean, I have white turkeys too. I also have a big white dog so that could be why I don't loose them. He is a very good guardian dog from ground or air attacks.

As for keeping Guinea in a cage.. I agree with everyone else. Its not the best idea. They are wild birds at heart and really do need to fly and chase bugs and run. The point of having Guinea is to eat bugs, and they can't do you any good, or you do them any good if they are locked up. Its almost mean for this bird to not get to run.
