Should I give my chickens worming meds???

My chickens are two years old and have never had worming medicine. Should I give them some or not and if so what should they have? How long do I toss eggs and can I feed the eggs to the chickens instead of tossing them. I have large chickens and bantams. I'm just wondering because I know that I have to stop eating the eggs, which is fine cause we are over run with eggs right now. Thanks!!

Do they have an obvious infestation? I have never wormed my chickens, and as far as I know, they haven't had a problem.

No signs of worms. I just wasn't sure if maybe I should worm them or not.

If it ain't broke, I wouldn't try to fix it. Some folks do routinely worm, but, just MO, I'm raising chickens so I can avoid the junk that commercial poultry keepers routinely use.

I'm with the above posters, I don't worm my birds. If you're concerned, take a fecal sample to the vet. My local place charges under $25 for a test. That way you know if you need to worm or not, and avoid unnecessary medications.

Thanks to everyone. I just wanted to know if I should or not but I agree with not if I don't need to. So far so good.
