Should I give up on these eggs?

LOL I thought the same thing at first but I think chrishw means she has 90 chicks and bought 3 dozen more eggs. I don't think she got 90 chicks from 36 eggs, or did she? ;)

Congrats on the hatch though! Still only 3 chicks here. I'm thinking I'll leave them til friday, that'll be a week longer than the ones that already hatched, maybe I'll just leave them longer.

I have to go take care of my mom out of town for a week so my husband's going to take care of the brooder and incubator. by then I wont have to turn the eggs and he'll just have to move them from the incubator to the brooder. I already instructed him on how to tell if they're too hot or cold and I'm buying larger feeder/waterers before I go.

HA HA HA- SORRY!

I bought 3 dozen eggs but the show was about over so the vender just gave me the rest they had, i ended up with a bit less than 9 dozen once I got them home, sometimes what seems like a deal isn't, and good luck might be a bad hatch rate since I only have room for 1/2 of them so now I need to build more cages. But I'm not going to complain, we never can quite have enough birds can we? If your in VA I'll give you some!

Back to the topic, I think they are done unless the hen was sitting on some eggs longer/shorter than others? You can "candle them to make sure but if they haven't at least peeked out ( started cracking the shell) then they probably won't.

:)

Oh, and its Mr. Chris :)

Just wanted to update that two cot eggs ended up hatching. One on Saturday and the other on Monday or Tuesday. My husband is taking care of them while I'm out of town taking care of my mom so I haven't seen them yet, but he said everyone looks healthy and they're getting along fine.:)
