I've had 3 Aylesbury ducks for more than a year. I've rejected the notion of breeding for now. WHat I do have is a 6x4ft shed empty. And an overgrown lawn. I especially would like to keep a couple of geese. Would they get on with the Aylesburys? Apart from the honking are there any other issues? Obviously it wlli be a shit storm.....

My basic question is do white geese and aylesbury ducks get along? They are size wize pretty much the same

If you don't mind the yard looking like a pillow fight during molt...... I have ducks and geese.... Shetlands which are white (gandars ) and some Africans...I also have mostly 'dark ducks' their feathers blend in better during molt... they do break down... and are good fertilizer...I move mine to a back pasture during molt....

That sounds great - commotion etc. Where is the fun in equilbrium? But they in the end all get on?

Just want a crazy mash. I suspect aylesburies and geese would get on.surely there is someone here who could give an authoritative comment. I am beginning to think I might be the next expert on Aylesburies...... Not especialially happy with this. I know nothing. O not follow me.

hmmm, it's a bit like asking if you will like your new neighbours when moving house.
they might get on, they might not.
i hatched some embdens and some chickens around the same time. initially the chickens bullied the geese. they used to run away terrified of these little pecky monsters until one day one of the boys stood his ground.
the mess of chicken feathers after was quite disturbing.
after that it was a bit of role reversal, geese then chased the chickens and pulled out their feathers if they got hold of them.
after a while the chickens fed some hungry fox cubs and we didn't replace them, sticking with just the geese.
you will find on here many tales of both sides, geese and others integrating and then like mine, geese who hate everything including children and strangers.
the only way to find out is to try them out, or not, depending upon how brave you are.
it has a lot more to do with individual difference rather than breed.
