Should I hang the feeder up?

It's harder for them to kick feed out

I hang my Federicos so that they won't poop in the feed, pee in the feed, kick th feed out, perch on the feeder, and then poop and pee right down into the top and soak the whole thing! I basically hang it just so they don't waste it entirely.

We hang the feeders and the waterers. We did it for sanitary reasons mostly.

We have them hanging on chains attached to the rafters in the coops. 5 gallon galvanized steel waterers. We haven’t had a problem with any spills and it keeps them from pooping in their water.

My feeder is hanging, to get it up to where they can use their beak but not their feet.
My waterer is on a block because that works better for Horizontal Nipples.
Both are protected from perching and pooping.
