Should I help the Duckling?

It’s been over 24 hours since it’s first external pip. It is malpositioned and is making some progress. I had to take some of the membrane of because it was dried up. I can hear it chirping and see it moving. It isn’t making a large amount of progress though. When should I help or do I at all.

Sometimes it drops, but it’s on 98.5 now

How do you suggest I help, tear of some of the shell that it has already broke? And as it keeps pecking I assist?
