I have a question about i dilemma i have. I have been incubating eggs for a long time now but i dont remember experiencing this.

I went to candle remaining eggs (today is day 24) and i saw a small crack in one egg and a very lively chick with its head in the air sack. I can actually see its beak open and close like its gasping for air. Should i help it out?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I wouldn't. 24 days seems far too early for duck eggs and don't think it would have absorbed the yolk sac and such that soon. Might want to check your thermometer. I may be reading low so your temp is a bit high.

If you're gut is saying help it then help it. Take it slow make a pip for it to be able to breathe then see if it will do the rest of the work it's self
