So I hatched 3 chicks a two days ago and am wondering should I hatch more eggs, Im kinda rushed cuz our rooster died yesterday from a racoon so my hens eggs atent going tonbe as fertile anymore. If I do im only gonna add 4 eggs 2 from each of both of my EE hens.

the only picture I had of her just ignore the bills
Now I wanted to ask SINCE easter eggers do hatch out pretty mixed colored chicks if I hatch out the eggs from my hens will they come out looking like their older sibling?
Heres the chick that hatched

I don't know how recently he mated with your hens but the sperm can stay viable in a special container near where the egg starts its journey anywhere from 9 days to three weeks, maybe even more. If you want to hatch more, I think you could collect eggs for another week and have a fair amount of confidence they are fertile. How many eggs you set is tied to how many you want to hatch, you are not restricted to four.

If your EE's are mixed genetically it is possible any new chicks could look like the one that hatched. Or they could look quite a bit different. When you hatch from mixes you don't know what colors or patterns you will get. There is only one way to find out.
