I had a roo that was very hard on the girls and they were practically bald (15 hens--he was busy!). Now, he's gone to freezer camp after producing many babies and the girls are going through molt--they're growing back feathers pretty quickly, but it took a while. You should just wait and either put a saddle or a sweater on her if you're afraid she'll get too cold.
